Charity Work

Jack's passion for people means that he will always do what he can to help others.  Therefore each year he offers 4 free days to charitable causes.

2009

Jack provided 4 full day one-to-ones for individuals wanting to work on their self esteem and confidence.  These were individuals who ordinarily could not afford to pay for such a service.  By taking the time out to examine their negative habits and look forward to focus on their goals the results were incredible...

2010

January - Jack spent 3 days working with the Neonatal Ward at Exeter Hospital on Team development.  90 Neo Natal staff took part in the team development programmes to develop their team dynamics with great success.  Jack knows first hand how important the Neo Natal team are, and about the amazing work that they do on a daily basis, as his first child was born prematurely.

‘Thank you for your fantastic contribution to the Exeter Neonatal Unit Away days.  I know that your presentation was excellent and extremely well received each week by the team. Thank you for all your hard work, passion and commitment and for giving your time and energy so freely (I am very aware of what a big ask it was).'

As you can imagine the demand for these 4 days is high.  If you would like to apply to receive a free day from Jack for your cause then contact us telling us about you/your charity, and what area you need development.

Rotary Youth Leadership Award

Jack and his development team also work with Rotary at a heavily reduced cost every year to provide the Rotary Youth Leadership Award in both Devon and Dorset.  This is an eight day long leadership training course that includes both theoretical learning and outdoor experiential learning.  Individual Rotary clubs sponsor delegates to attend the course.  The feedback is phenomenal.  Jack has been running this programme for almost twenty years and has been presented the Paul Harris Award for his long service and hard work; Rotary's highest accolade.

‘When I did the RYLA course, I had just left a career under difficult circumstances.  It took all my energy to leave and had left me with feelings of loss and tiredness.  Although I was already making the transition to go to university to study occupational therapy - I really did need a gear change - and RYLA did just that for me.  RYLA has been an important component in shaping my style and focus from what I want to achieve in life - I continue to use the skills that I learned.  It has helped me harness a belief in myself, which I really lacked before.  I certainly believe, ‘I can, I will - Do more!' I feel as if I'm living again.  Thank you.'
